Laminar Recognized in Fortress Cyber Security Awards and Global InfoSec Awards, Named TAG Cyber Distinguished Vendor

Award momentum comes shortly after company announces extended Series A, new product enhancements

TEL AVIV and NEW YORK, June 7, 2022 – Laminar, a public cloud data security provider, today announced it has won a 2022 Fortress Cyber Security Award in the Data Protection category, a Global Infosec Award for 2022 in the Emerging Technology category and has been named a Distinguished Vendor by TAG Cyber.

Laminar’s Cloud Security Platform is the first and only cloud data security platform that provides autonomous discovery and classification for all cloud data assets, including shadow data. The platform provides an agentless architecture that operates asynchronously to avoid performance impacts and continuously monitors for new risks, provides data leak protection (DLP) and uncovers security anomalies in real-time. The three award distinctions serve as a testament to the need the market has for solutions that protect cloud data and especially the data in cloud IaaS and PaaS environments..

The Fortress Cyber Security Awards program, sponsored by the Business Intelligence Group, identifies and rewards the world’s leading companies and products that are working to keep data and electronic assets safe amongst the growing, sophisticated cyberthreat landscape. Similarly, the Global InfoSec Awards, sponsored by Cyber Defense Magazine, evaluate the top cybersecurity products on the market via a judging panel consisting of CISSP, FMDHS, CEH and certified security professionals who vote based on their independent reviews of the products and services submitted for contention. Being named a TAG Cyber distinguished vendor signifies that Laminar has demonstrated that the Cloud Security Platform is uniquely meeting the cybersecurity needs of today’s top enterprises.

The news comes shortly after the company announced a $30 million extended Series A funding round backed by Tiger Global Management and Salesforce Ventures. Laminar also recently added support for Microsoft Azure, a full suite of data-centric security policies and the ability to discover and classify data in self-hosted, embedded databases

“We’re honored to be recognized by Business Intelligence Group, Cyber Defense Magazine and TAG Cyber,” said Amit Shaked, CEO and co-founder, Laminar. “Our vision is to be the trusted cloud data security platform of choice for security teams everywhere by providing a single, consistent view of cloud data across multiple vendors and detecting leaks in real-time. It’s incredibly validating to receive recognition from industry experts who understand how our Laminar Cloud Data Security Platform meets the needs of today’s enterprises. We look forward to building on our momentum in the near future.”
